Kubicek at Bristol Balloon Fiesta

Kubicek were present at this years festival with several balloons. Our Keep Calm and Fly balloon along with G-CLNX were among a further 66 balloons taking to the skies from the festival site.

The event started for us on the Thursday morning while we tethered for ITV’s Good Morning Britain tethering with G-CLNX as a backdrop to the weather reports presented by Laura Tobin.

The festival really kicked off on the Friday media morning with over 70 hot air Balloons taking to the skies in front of the largest morning crowd the festival site has ever experienced. G-CLNX took to the skies for a short flight before landing in the North Somerset showground.

Our next flight was the Saturday morning with both our Keep Calm and Fly and G-CLNX taking to the skies. Conditions remained the same and both balloons landing at the North Somerset showground.

Saturday night provided us with another Nightglow and with Keep Calm and Fly glowing to over a 100,000 excited and engaging crowd alongside 20 other balloons.

Sunday morning both our balloons were first to take off from the event again to a very large crowd and received a cheer as we ascended. As became our usual landing space we again landed at the North Somerset showground to complete the weekend. Well not quite complete. On the Monday morning the team went to Radio Bristol studio to do a Live interview to talk about the weekend and ballooning.

Over the course of the weekend between 400,000 - 500,000 attended the event with our balloons appearing in various media platforms.

We are very much looking forward to taking part in the festival again, hopefully it will be slightly cooler next time.
