Ballooning season goes into full swing in the UK

Saturday evening over Bristol was a fantastic slight with over 12 balloons taking to the skies. The Bank holiday coupled with good weather allowed the balloons to go directly over Bristol. Taking in the sites of Bristol skyline, Clifton Suspension Bridge, The Harbourside and the SS Great Britain. With many thousands of people looking up from around Bristol.

We flew in Nicki Hill’s lightweight Kubciek balloon which is perfect for fun flying. The envelope comes in at just 60kgs and is a 64,000cu ft balloon enough for a pilot plus one passenger. This is a perfect size for traveling and training especially when coupled with our Kubicek Sirius Burner.

After around 45 minutes after being waved and cheered at as we flew over peoples homes we landed in Warmley in an old school ground. Following us to our landing spot was the Lear family where young Bradley Lear who is a young balloon enthusiastic came over to help and got to experience what it is like in a balloon basket.
